'Temptation 2' Seduces Young Adults The premiere of "Temptation Island 2" on FOX Wednesday (Nov. 7) lived up to its "Ready to go again?" promotional come-on among the young viewers the network covets.
The second-season debut of the suggestive relationship series drew about 8.9 million viewers and was the highest-rated program of the night among adults 18-34, pulling a 5.8 rating/16 share in the demographic. "Considering the competition it was up against, we're extremely pleased" with the show's performance, FOX spokesman Scott Grogin tells Zap2it.com. "Temptation Island 2" premiered opposite a new episode of "The West Wing" on NBC and the second hour of the Country Music Association awards show on CBS.
The 5.8/16 rating in adults 18-34 is a 53 percent increase for the time slot over the rest of the fall season, including the network's World Series coverage. "Temptation 2's" total viewership, 5.6/8 overall rating and its 4.6/11 among adults 18-49 were the best in the time period in almost six months.
Grogin says FOX expects similar ratings among its target demographics when "Temptation Island 2" moves to its regular timeslot at 9 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 8). It airs opposite CBS' hit "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and NBC comedies "Will & Grace" and "Just Shoot Me." Related Shows
